Family caregivers are rarely trained as patient advocates, but now is their chance to learn about patient safety and advocacy.

On March 27th and 28th 2025 Pulse will be holding its annual Family-Centered Patient Advocacy training for the public, including caregivers, professional patient advocates and healthcare professionals. This is a rare opportunity for members of the public to get practical, interactive training in techniques that reduce the risk of harm from medical treatment.

Topics include:

·      Communication techniques and ways to better prepare for the medical visit or hospitalization.

·      An understanding of “who’s who” in the healthcare system.

·      Bias in healthcare, and addressing your own biases . . . .

And much more. Experts in the field will be among the speakers at this 2-day training, which will be held:

March 27 & 28, 2025 9 AM-5PM Holiday Inn 215 Sunnyside Blvd. Plainview, NY, 11803

Board-certified Patient Advocates can earn up to 18 CE credits towards maintaining their BCPA accreditation.
