Patient Safety Awareness Week: Keep the Momentum Going with Family-Centered Patient Advocacy Training

dhalperin1

Patient Safety Awareness Week for 2025 is drawing to a close. It has seen a wide range of activities all across the country, many aimed at informing the public about the risks facing anyone entering the healthcare system, and ways those risks can be reduced.

Most people think that only hospitals and other medical practices can make a difference to patients’ safety, but that’s not true. Individuals and families can do a lot. Preparation is key: that has been the message of Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy for more than 25 years. Buckle the seatbelt before you crash.

Pulse will hold two days of family-centered patient advocacy training with a focus on safety, March 27-28 in Plainview, NY. The course, with nationally recognized speakers and interactive sessions, will provide practical techniques and potentially life-saving information both to professional advocates and to individuals looking to support their families and friends.

When: March 27-28, 2025, 9:00-5:00
